Orders & Shipping

When will my order ship?

Orders typically ship within 1–3 business days. You’ll receive a confirmation email with tracking info as soon as it’s on the way.

How much is shipping within Canada?

Shipping Rates & Delivery Times

We offer the following shipping options at checkout:

  • Standard Shipping: Flat rate of $14.90
  • Express Shipping: Flat rate of $21.90

Orders over $100 CAD (before tax) qualify for free standard shipping

Do you offer free shipping?

Yes — all orders over $100 CAD ship free within Canada.

Where do you ship from?

All orders are shipped from our Vancouver-based warehouse.

Can I change or cancel my order after placing it?

We move fast — but if you email us at cs@thisthatplace.ca right away, we’ll do our best to catch it before it ships.

Returns & Exchanges

What is your return policy?

We accept returns within 30 days of delivery for most items in original condition. Final sale items, underwear, and worn gear are not eligible.

How do I start a return or exchange?

Email us at cs@thisthatplace.ca with your order number and reason for return. We’ll guide you through the next steps.

Do you offer free returns?

At the moment, return shipping costs are the responsibility of the customer unless the item is damaged or incorrect.

Can I return sale or discounted items?

Items marked as final sale are non-returnable. Otherwise, discounted items follow our standard return policy.

Do I need an account to place an order?

Nope. You can check out as a guest, but creating an account makes it easier to track orders and manage returns.

What payment methods do you accept?

We accept Visa, Mastercard, Amex, Apple Pay, Google Pay, and Shop Pay. Split payments? Use Sezzle, Afterpay or Affirm at checkout.

Can I use multiple discount codes on one order?

Only one code can be applied per order — choose the one that gives you the best deal.

My payment didn’t go through — what should I do?

Double-check your billing info and try again. Still stuck? Email cs@thisthatplace.ca and we’ll sort it out.

Do you carry any eco-friendly or vegan products?

Yes, we tag all eco or vegan products for easy filtering. Look for "vegan bags" or “sustainable” tags in the categories.

Are the brands you carry Canadian?

Some are! We proudly support Canadian and global brands that align with our quality and design values.

How do you choose which brands to work with?

We choose brands we’d wear ourselves — well-made, thoughtfully designed, and aligned with our taste in street, sport, outdoor, and lifestyle culture.

Can I apply a discount code after placing my order?

Unfortunately, discount codes can’t be retroactively applied once the order is placed. Make sure to enter your code at checkout before confirming payment.

Do you offer price adjustments if something goes on sale later?

We do not offer price adjustments on past purchases. Our advice: grab it while it’s hot!

Can I pre-order items?

Not right now. We only sell what’s available and in stock so you don’t have to wait.

I received the wrong item — what should I do?

Email us at cs@thisthatplace.ca with your order number and a photo of what you received. We’ll fix it fast.

Do you include invoices in the package?

Nope. Your receipt is emailed to you. Good for the environment and better for gifts.

How do I contact customer service?

Do you have a physical store?

ThisThatPlace is online-only (for now). We occasionally pop up at events or collaborations — follow us on Instagram to keep up.

Can I track my order?

Absolutely. Once your order ships, you’ll get an email with tracking info. You can also track it through your account page.

Do you offer next-day or express shipping?

We offer expedited options at checkout. Delivery times and costs depend on your location and the carrier.

My tracking says delivered, but I didn’t get anything — help?

First, check with neighbours or your mailbox. If it’s still missing after 24 hours, email us and we’ll help open a claim with the carrier.

Do you offer influencer or affiliate partnerships?

We’re always down to connect with aligned creators. Email us at cs@thisthatplace.ca with links and a short pitch.

Are your products authentic?

Yes, 100%. We work directly with all the brands we carry. No grey market, no knockoffs, no BS.

Buy Now, Pay Later (Afterpay, Sezzle, Affirm)

What is Buy Now, Pay Later?

Buy Now, Pay Later (BNPL) lets you split your purchase into smaller payments over time instead of paying the full amount upfront. We currently offer three trusted providers at checkout: Afterpay, Sezzle, and Affirm. Approval is fast and easy, and in most cases, there’s no interest or impact on your credit score.

How do the payment plans work?
  • Afterpay: 4 equal payments made every 2 weeks (first payment at checkout).
  • Sezzle: 4 equal payments over 6 weeks (first payment at checkout).
  • Affirm: Monthly payment plans (interest-free or low-interest depending on the plan).
Are these options interest-free?

Yes, most Afterpay and Sezzle plans are interest-free if you pay on time. Affirm offers both interest-free and low-interest monthly options, depending on your approval terms. You’ll see the full payment breakdown before confirming your order.

Do I need to apply or sign up in advance?

No — just choose your preferred provider at checkout. You’ll be guided through a quick approval process right on the spot. If you already have an account with one of them, you can simply log in.

Is there a credit check?
  • Afterpay and Sezzle do not perform hard credit checks.
  • Affirm may do a soft check for eligibility, but it doesn’t affect your credit score.
Can I pay off early?

Yes — all three providers let you pay off your balance early at any time through your account.

What are the order limits?

Limits may vary depending on your history with each provider:

  • Afterpay: Usually between $35–$1,000 CAD
  • Sezzle: Typically up to $1,500 CAD
  • Affirm: Orders starting from $100 CAD up to $3,000+ (depending on approval)
Can I use BNPL on sale items or gift cards?

Yes — in most cases, Buy Now, Pay Later can be used on sale items. Gift cards may not be eligible, depending on the provider.

What happens if I return an item paid through BNPL?

Once your return is processed, your payment plan will be updated or canceled by the provider. Any paid amounts will be refunded to your original payment method.
